Mr. Muhammad Yunus Tabba, The Chairman of the Group, started his 40-year long career with YBG as one of its founding members and has seen it progress through manufacturing, sales management, marketing management and general management. With his expertise and diversified experience, he has taken YBG to a level which is appreciated by local and international business communities. Muhammad Yunus Tabba has also been awarded “Businessman of the Year” by the Chamber of Commerce, several times during his career.
Under Mr. Yunus Tabba’s leadership, the Group has achieved many breakthroughs and has received many awards from local and international institutions.
Mr. Muhammad Ali Tabba is the Chief Executive Officer of Lucky Cement Ltd. who assumed this office in 2005. He also serves as the Chief Executive of Yunus Textile Mills Ltd., a state-of-the-art home textile mills with subsidiaries in the US, UK & France. Simultaneously spearheading both these organizations, he also provides strategic vision as Vice Chairman of ICI Pakistan which is a market leader in the field of Soda Ash, Chemicals, Polyester and Life Sciences.
Mr. Muhammad Ali Tabba started his career with YBG (YBG) – a family conglomerate, in 1991. YBG is one of the premier business houses in Pakistan with diversified interests in Textiles, Energy, Chemicals, Cement and Real Estate Development. Thanks to its stellar performances, the Group’s annual turnover is around $1.5 billion and its annual export is close to $600 million, which contributes substantially to the overall exports of Pakistan.
Mr. Tabba also serves as a Board Member of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the premier trade organization of the country which works under the Federal Ministry of Commerce. He is also a Trustee of the Fellowship Fund for Pakistan (FFFP) which sponsors and sends a top Pakistani Scholar every year to the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a Think Tank based in Washington D.C. In addition to these important roles, Mr. Tabba is also on Board with Pakistan Business Council (PBC), a business advocacy forum comprising of leading private-sector businesses. He has been nominated on board of Pakistan – India Joint Business Council (PIJBC), which promotes trade between the two countries. Mr. Tabba is also the Chairman of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturing (APCMA), a regulatory body of cement manufacturers in Pakistan.
A generous philanthropist with extensive engagements in many community welfare projects, Mr. Tabba serves on the Board of Governors at numerous renowned Universities, Institutions and Foundations. He is the Vice Chairman of a Not-for-Profit Organization, Aziz Tabba Foundation that is working extensively in the field of education, health and housing. The Foundation runs state-of-the-art cardiac hospital, Tabba Heart Institute and a kidney center; Tabba Kidney Institute. Aziz Tabba Foundation’s mission is to provide humanitarian and welfare service to community at large from all over Pakistan.
Recognizing his commitments in the social development sector of the country, World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2010 bestowed the title of Young Global Leader (YGL) to Mr. Tabba in recognition of his outstanding services and contributions.
Mr. Sohail Tabba is one of the top businessmen and entrepreneurs in Pakistan. With the vast experience he has gained in more than two decades in the manufacturing, energy, real estate and cement sectors. Mr. Sohail Tabba stands as the ultimate icon of a successful and dynamic businessman.
Mr. Sohail Tabba has secured a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Karachi. In his association with the YBG, Mr. Tabba metamorphosed the group’s textile business into a leading global textile industry. His passion for innovation and creativity and his ferocious drive has revolutionized three industries: Gadoon Textile Mills Limited, Fazal Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Knits Private Limited. Mr. Sohail Tabba serves as the Chief Executive of these three industries and under Mr. Tabba, the family business managed to overtake many local industries in terms of share capitalization. He brought accolades to the family business as it gained a prominent reputation for the development and inculcation of modern and updated technology in the industries.
Mr. Sohail Tabba is the chairman for Lucky Paragon Ready Mix Limited, ICI Pakistan Limited and a Director on the Boards of Yunus Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Textile Mills Limited, and Lucky Cement Limited, the leading cement manufacturer and exporter of Pakistan. Mr. Sohail Tabba’s business activities include general commodity trading, power generation and construction, which has given him a profound understanding of both domestic and international markets and thorough knowledge of the market and future trends.
Mr. Sohail Tabba is a philanthropist and he devotes his free time in improving lives of the poverty stricken and ailing citizens of Pakistan. He is a founder member of the Child Life Foundation (CLF) and serves as the Director of Tabba Heart Institute (THI) and Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF). Mr. Sohail Tabba is also a founder member of Italian Development Council (IDC).
Mr. Jawed Yunus Tabba is the Chief Executive of Lucky Textile Mills Limited which is among top five Home Textile Exporters from Pakistan. He has a rich experience in Textile Industry and is also Managing Real Estate Project Lucky One, which once completed will be the Largest Mall in Karachi. Jawed Tabba is also involved in the Aziz Tabba Foundation, which is a part of the YBG societal activity projects.
Mr. Imran Tabba is the Joint Chief Executive of Lucky Textile Mills Limited and manages the administrative function of its various units located in various parts of Karachi. Mr. Imran Tabba has contributed significantly in the performance of the Board.
Ms. Mariam Tabba Khan, took over not-for-profit Tabba Heart Institute (THI) as Chief Executive Officer on 2nd of June, 2005, immediately after the sad and sudden demise of her philanthropist father Mr. Abdul Razzak Tabba. Although she had acquired a master’s degree, MBA, she was not involved in her father’s business ventures in his lifetime. But after his death she took the challenge of establishing and running the state-of-the-art Tabba Heart Institute. The hospital is serving both affording and non-affording patients, with dedication, attentiveness and commitment, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and humanistic care with respect, sincerely and transparency, in her leadership. The hospital, an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified Facility, is recognized by College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) for imparting post-graduate training in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. Also, THI is giving a Diploma in Cardiac Nursing, recognized by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
She is a popular full time CEO of the hospital and her presence gives an energetic boost to her entire team.
Having pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences from the University of Warwick and a Master’s degree in Management, Organizations and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Mrs. Zulekha Tabba Maskatiya has been an indispensable part of the YBG since inception. She not only holds a prestigious position within the Yunus Brothers Group but her educational background brings the values of business focus, corporate governance and social responsibility to the organization. In addition to this, she is also the Founder and the Creative Director of the luxury jewelry brand, Lazuli, based in Pakistan.
Amina Abdul Aziz Bawany is a post graduate in Early Years Education with over ten years’ experience in the education sector. She has held a key oversight position within YBG and possesses a versatile skill set with experience in customer relations and sales and is known for her attention to detail and excellent communication skills. She is on the boards of YB Holding companies, and various charities that successfully raise funds for medical and educational needs of underprivileged Pakistanis.
